Classically this is done by pH meter and manual titration with glass burette and NaOH titrant. This type of approach however can create its own set of problems, for example:
- Overshooting endpoint
- Variation of results between different operators
- Transcription errors
To resolve these issues, Metrohm can offer the 905 Titrando automatic titration system The 905 Titrando is a state of the art system which can either be controlled via the easy to use tiamo™ software or by a color touch control screen. Simply place the sample on a stirrer stand, lower the pH probes in and press start! A pH reading takes place, and the titration for acidity is completely automated. Further features can be implemented, for example:
- Automatic degassing
- Autosampler
- Other analyses, such as Vitamin C, SO2 etc.
